Teacher Philosophy

Teachers and staff at Little Village are carefully selected and trained. Many have earned their Bachelors degree or are working toward one. Our teachers are continuously taking early education classes to stay current in the field. They must understand child developmental stages, be knowledgeable about curriculum development and implementation, and recognize learning as holistic and continuous. Teachers must also model effective social skills, set positive and consistent limits, and observe and meet individual needs. The teachers at Little Village Academy are trained in CPR, first aid, communicable disease, and child abuse recognition.
